"The Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI) is the custodian of science engagement and in this regard a first-ever national survey, the South African Public Relationship with Science (SAPRS) Survey was initiated in 2022. The survey was conducted by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) and the results have been captured in a report. This report was launched in December 2024 by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation during the Science Forum South Africa (SFSA) in Pretoria.
